While watching a Christian program, I heard this from one of the characters: "I wish you cared more about me, than what I do all the time."
My s-i-l have talked about showing people that we care about them, not as a number or pew packer, but as a person. This is what will get people to come to church. We have had it happen. A family member had moved back into the area with his wife, and our two families made the point of inviting them to our homes, as well as to church. We weren't pushy, and didn't "over invite" to either place. Guess what? They felt welcome to our church, because they were welcome in our homes. Yes, it was easier to do because they were family, but it did have awkward moments. The wife was very liberal, and very vocal defending her views. However, they kept coming to church, and she was saved, he re-dedicated his life, and now they are active in their own church where they now live.
What if we didn't want to get out of our comfort zone because of the potential awkward moments? (There were some, believe me) Sad to think about, isn't it?
So, how do YOU show you care? I don't think "pointing" fingers is the way. Not to unbelievers, nor even believers. Not saying we shouldn't hold each other accountable, but shouldn't that be done with love and humility as our guide?
Odds and ends, in a somewhat jumbled and confused manner, thus the title. :)

Fall
The weather has turned cooler! I love it, I am so ready for sweatshirts, chili, and snuggling under quilts! It is nice to be able to drink my coffee on a chilly morning. I should have already had my front porch cleaned and swept so we can enjoy sitting out there. It's dusty, dirty and cob-webby. I love being outside when it is cool. Especially on a cool, clear night, with a fire, and some friends. Sigh. Need to invite some folks over, or get invited by some friends. ;) Hope you all have a very blessed day! Oh, and somehow, I started following my own blog...lol
